Talent Acquisition Specialist
Permanent Full-Time, Hybrid
OntarioMD has an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR team reporting directly to the Manager, Human Resources. In this role you will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment activities across a variety of corporate and technical roles, helping to attract high-quality talent that supports OntarioMD’s mission and growth. You will partner closely with hiring managers to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies while delivering an exceptional candidate experience from initial outreach though onboarding. This role is ideal for someone who has owned full-cycle recruitment end-to-end, actively participates in interviews with hiring managers, and has hands-on experience implementing or optimizing an ATS and structured hiring practices.
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will:
- Own and manage full-cycle recruitment activities across multiple roles including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, reference checks, and offer facilitation.
- Actively participate in interviews alongside hiring managers, evaluate candidates against defined criteria, and provide clear, evidence-based hiring recommendations that influence final decisions.
- Build and execute sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter and other channels.
- Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process to provide timely updates, guidance and advice on recruitment strategy, candidate assessment support, market trends, and hiring best practices.
- Promote OntarioMD’s mission, culture, and opportunities to candidates.
- Provide timely updates to applicants at every stage to deliver a transparent and inclusive experience.
- Lead the recruitment-focused design, implementation, and adoption of a new ATS, including workflows, templates, and user enablement.
- Influence and, when needed, challenge hiring decisions using data and structured evaluation.
- Maintain accurate ATS data and ensure data integrity within JazzHR.
- Maintain recruitment dashboards, vacancy reports, and candidate status updates. Provide insights to inform opportunities for ongoing improvement.
- Support continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools, and templates.
- Collaborate with the HR team to coordinate onboarding and ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to successful integration into the organization.
- Participate in workforce and succession planning activities to identify, access, and engage internal candidates for career development and advancement opportunities within OntarioMD.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across the organization and with the healthcare technology sector.
What you bring:
- 7+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience in agency or in-house environments.
- Technology recruitment experience is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of full-cycle recruitment practices, including sourcing, interviewing, candidate assessment and offer management.
- Hands-on experience leading or playing a key role in ATS implementation or major optimization (including workflows, testing, rollout, user adoption, and training).
- Proven experience sitting in interviews with hiring managers and contributing directly to candidate evaluation and hiring decisions.
- Strong sourcing experience using LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Proven experience working with and optimizing JazzHR, Rippling or Workday.
- Understanding of employment legislation, human rights and equitable hiring practices.
- Knowledge of recruitment trends, labour market conditions, and talent acquisition strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to engage candidates, promote opportunities, and effectively partner with hiring managers.
Base salary range of $68,000 - $84,000 annually + bonus + pension; final compensation offered will be determined based on experience, skill set, education, training, and internal equity.
