OntarioMD is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Project Manager, Integrations with experience in technical environments/software development organizations. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated successes leading digital health solutions within Ontario.Senior Project Managers at OntarioMD are hands-on contributors, responsible for leading multiple, concurrent digital health initiatives, and guiding cross-functional teams in a matrix reporting structure. The Senior Project Manager, Integrations will lead projects from early concepts and feasibility through development, testing, deployment and adoption, ensuring a seamless transition into full operational readiness. The Senior Project Manager, Integrations will be accountable for ensuring adherence to documentation standards and engaging appropriate subject-matter experts throughout all phases of the project life cycle.
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Product Delivery, and working with one or more additional managers in a matrix reporting environment, this role will:
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and oversee the successful delivery of EHR integration initiatives from conception through ongoing operations, providing direction and guidance to project teams and internal partners.
- Lead the development, execution, and management of agreements in partnership with OMD Legal and other internal stakeholders, including Statements of Work (SoWs), Letters of Agreement, and/or Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs).
- Responsible for detailed project planning by establishing scope and target deliverables.
- Ensure that all steps from requirement analysis through to implementation, testing, and production are carried out in an optimal way to ensure successful and timely completion of the project.
- Monitor project status and provide regular updates to OMD senior leadership, project management and stakeholders.
- Proactively manages project risks and escalates issues for resolution.
- Lead financial forecasting for vendor-related activities, ensuring accurate projections for departmental planning and year-end reporting.
- Manage invoice reconciliation processes to confirm accuracy and compliance with contractual and financial requirements.
- Maintain and review departmental financial trackers for alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead/manage internal and partner project resources and activities (e.g., change management, communications, vendor management).
- Supports pre-project activities such as client engagements, proposal development, interviews, facilitation of requirements gathering, etc.
- Develop and deliver high quality documentations, including business cases, business proposals, charters, statements of work, detailed project plans, analysis, reports, and other related project management artifacts.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to develop/continually improve project processes to support various initiatives.
- Create/deliver communications materials and business presentations to internal and external clients/stakeholders.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Lead/facilitate workshops and stakeholder forums, as required.
- Establish and maintain collaborative and productive stakeholder relationships.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders (e.g., project and executive-level resources at Ontario Health, Ministry of Health, clinician practices, institutions) to explain the benefits, responsibilities and progress associated with products and services.
- University degree / College diploma in Business Administration, Health Administration, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a senior project manager, in a technical environment/ software development organization(s) ideally in the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated in-depth understanding of the Ontario digital health landscape and digital health solutions, and engagement with EMR vendors.
- Minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience with contract management, including the development and management of agreements, statements of work (SOWs), and /or memoranda of understanding.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with ITIL processes (incident, change, and release management) is considered a strong asset.
- Strong understanding and experience of SDLC methodologies (e.g., Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with diverse partners; leads cross functional project teams in complex multistakeholder environments; builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in developing detailed analysis, interpretation and opinion to support and guide senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading cross-functional project teams in multi-stakeholder environments.
- Provides comprehensive, end to end project management leadership, including full scope planning (business planning, forecasting, budgeting, and risk/issue management) and robust project financial management encompassing cost planning, budgeting, financial controls, administration, and reporting.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving skills, negotiating, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills, and able to present technical topics to non-technical audiences.
- In-depth working knowledge of a variety of computer software including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Project).
Base salary range of $105,000 - $115,000 annually; final compensation offered will be determined based on experience, skill set, education, training, and internal equity.
